"Autumn Adventures in Home Maintenance: Leaves, Gutter, and DIY Delights"

Now that Halloween is over and done, it's time to start thinking about fall maintenance for your home. Taking care of these tasks now can save you time and money in the long run. Here are some tips for getting your home ready for fall:

1. Gutter be clean. Don't forget to clean out your gutters before the winter storms hit. Trust us, you don't want to deal with the aftermath of clogged gutters.

2. Inspect your roof for any damage or missing shingles before the winter weather sets in. You can also inspect your attic, to see if there are any leaks or gaps.

3. Furnace up for it? Make sure your furnace is ready for the colder months ahead by scheduling a maintenance check. You don't want to be left in the cold when it's time to turn up the heat.

4. Bring on the Pumpkin Spice - and the caulking! Nothing says fall like pumpkin spice lattes, but don't forget to seal up any cracks or gaps around windows and doors to keep the chilly air out.

5. Test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replace the batteries if needed.

BONUS TIP

6. Store outdoor furniture and equipment in a dry, sheltered location to protect it from the elements.

By following these simple fall maintenance tips, you can ensure that your home is ready for the cooler months ahead.
